Table 5-9 Division of Joint Use and Exclusive Use Track Sections
In calculating the amount of investment, on joint use sections with roads (including the exclusive use section near the Waterfront car park), the basic plan illustrated in Figure 5-9 is adopted. In this plan, paving over the track section is first broken up and then put back in place after the track has been laid. In this case, drainage ditches originally placed along the road edge will be newly constructed underneath the footways.
On the exclusive use section laid within the road's central reserve (between Stations D andG), because it is thought that ground strength is insufficient, boundary concrete is placed and grading adjustment stone is packed beneath the ballast in order to strengthen the roadbed in the manner illustrated in Figure 5-17. Regarding the exclusive use section near to the rolling stock depot, because this area was previously used as a yard by Metro, it is judged that the above-mentioned strengthening measures are not necessary. Thus, ballast is laid and leveled over the existing roadbed directly.
Items not included in the estimated amount of investment are as follows:
Land cost,
Cutting and banking between the points of 1k900m and 2k400m,
Strengthening work of the openings before and after the 2k500m point,
